Sports Podiatry focuses on treating foot and lower limb conditions that stem from exercise and activity. We specialise in the relationship between activity, biomechanics, and foot function. The goal is to work with you to improve performance while reducing pain and preventing injury.

We see a range of patients with biomechanical problems from toddlers with unusual gait pattern to those patients in their 80’s and 90’s wanting to maintain their independence.

However, most of our sports patients range from teenagers through to the middle years of life. Many are playing school sports, are weekend warriors in their chosen sport or are elite athletes. More than half of our patients are referred to us by doctors, coaches, or physiotherapists.

Many of the conditions we treat are not just foot related but include calf injuries, achilles tendonitis, shin, knee, and hip pain.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_5″ _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_image src=”https://melbournefootclinic.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/sports_Melbourne-Foot-Clinic_13.jpeg” alt=”Running shoes and ankle brace for sports podiatry and podiatry for activity” title_text=”sports_Melbourne Foot Clinic_13″ align=”center” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row custom_padding_last_edited=”on|phone” module_class=”rr” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”4%||4px||false|false” custom_padding_tablet=”4%||||false|false” custom_padding_phone=”4%||0px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin=”||18px|||” global_colors_info=”{}”]Here is a list of just some of the many common conditions we can diagnose and treat as a sports podiatrist:[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_3,1_3,1_3″ custom_padding_last_edited=”on|phone” module_class=”rr” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”0.2%||||false|false” custom_padding_tablet=”4%||||false|false” custom_padding_phone=”4%||0px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_css_main_element=”margin-bottom:0 !important;” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_css_main_element=”margin-bottom:0 !important;” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin_tablet=”” custom_margin_phone=”||-16px||false|false” custom_margin_last_edited=”on|phone” global_colors_info=”{}”]

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_css_main_element=”margin-bottom:0 !important;” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin_tablet=”” custom_margin_phone=”||-15px||false|false” custom_margin_last_edited=”on|phone” global_colors_info=”{}”]

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”2_5,3_5″ custom_padding_last_edited=”on|phone” module_class=”rr” _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”1%||||false|false” custom_padding_tablet=”4%||||false|false” custom_padding_phone=”0%||0px||false|false” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”2_5″ _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_image src=”https://melbournefootclinic.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/CourtSports.jpg” title_text=”CourtSports” force_fullwidth=”on” _builder_version=”4.25.1″ _module_preset=”default” custom_margin_tablet=”” custom_margin_phone=”21px||||false|false” custom_margin_last_edited=”on|phone” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″][/et_pb_image][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”3_5″ _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.20.4″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]Our Melbourne sports podiatrists provide you with individualised prevention and treatment programs that will get you back on your feet enjoying sports and engaging in physical activity in absolutely no time!
